Overview

The KFD2-UFC-Ex1.D from Pepperl+Fuchs is a universal frequency converter and trip amplifier used to safely interface signals from hazardous areas. It converts digital pulse signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts into proportional analog current outputs (0/4–20 mA) and provides two relay outputs for alarm/trip functions. It is ideal for applications requiring frequency-to-current conversion, speed monitoring, and flow signal conditioning.

This unit is certified for SIL 2 functional safety per IEC 61508/61511 and designed for DIN rail mounting in process control panels.
